What's New?

Well, I bet you all been wondering "Where's Jan?", "Why hasn't she posted in the longest time?" (not really because I know that you all have better things to do than worry about me, but in Jan World, people worry about me). And in answer to all your burning questions, I started to think about what I had been doing these last two weeks and this is what I came up with.

Well, I last posted on January 8th, after that rivoting post, I took Luke to the doctor to check the tubes in his ears. They looked fine and he was doing well!!! The next few days after that were unmentionable until we get to the week of the 12th. Busy, Busy!! I had appointments and watched lots of kids (lots). Then about on Wednesday I noticed that Josh had this cold and it was accompanied by lots of wheezing. I decided to take him to the asthma doctor on Thursday to which she told me that I needed to give him oral steroids and treatment every few hours. He was so bad that she wanted me to keep him home from school to do the treatments. So after several days of that he finally was doing better.

Now this brings us to around the 19th. Another week of meetings and stuff, but this week, Brian was off the ENTIRE week. How nice, right? Maybe we would get to do something together like go snowmobiling. Well, Luke started running a fever on Thursday. Every 3 hours he had to be given drugs to keep his fever down. We have no idea why he had the fever, he just did. A new form of parental torture maybe? Anyway, today is the first day he has not had a fever. It mysteriously went away just as mysteriously as it had appeared.

And to top it off, Brian and I DID plan on doing some snowmobiling, but it has been so warm here that the snow all melted and it hasn't snowed all week until today. . . .a good couple of inches today. Just in time for Brian to go back to work tomorrow!!!

So there ya have it!! This is what's new here!!!

Playin' Around

I had to post Luke's first experience in the snow. I finally found him a snow suit and so I suited him up (he WOULD NOT wear his boots) and we went outside to play. I thought he would go right for the big snow pile, but he stayed just where I had shoveled. He had a great time. I think we have another outdoor boy on our hands!!! Mike is such a great helper! He always help me shovel the driveway!!!

The Bed

My Brian has made a lot of things in our 11 1/2 years together. . . . he has made side tables and entertainment centers, frames and shelves, even a swing for our front porch! In 2000, he made our first bed. He decided to make it out of log poles. He worked so hard on it and it was beautiful. Since that time, he has made several other log beds and even made log bunk beds. But recently, my amazing husband decided to make a bed for the guest bedroom. It is my favorite bed that he has made so far. And that is saying a lot, because when he told me what he wanted to do, I didn't think it would turn out, BUT I was totally wrong. And here it is:
