A Huntin' We Will Go

I thought for sure that going Christmas tree hunting would put me into labor. . . . the bumpy roads and hiking up and down hills to find the perfect tree should do it. NOPE!!!! As you can see from the picutres, Brian did most of the hiking and found the perfect trees for Christmas. Yesterday we put up all of our decorations too!! We are looking pretty Christmasy over here. And just to keep you all posted, I had my 36 week (actually it was 36 weeks and 3 days) appointment yesterday. I was only dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced. I'm afraid nothing is going to happen this week.

Eyes Wide Open

So we had Thanksgiving dinner at Tina's (Brian's sister) house. And we took the camera hoping to get good pictures of us enjoying the BIG meal, but dinner was over before we knew it, so I didn't get any pictures. So while Brian was having his post-dinner turkey on a roll, I thought I will take a picture of him so we could remember this moment! Ha! Ha! As you can see it took me many tries to get him to keep his eyes open. My husband, as cute as he is, has no idea how to work the camera!!!

Barefoot and Pregnant

Brian snapped this photo of me cooking on Thanksgiving Morning. He said that he finally had me barefoot and pregnant and in the kitchen, just where he likes me. I know, I know, there is a lot of testosterone in my house, and only more to come. Ha! Ha!

Scary Moment

Well, with nothing else to blog, I thought I would share our scary moment we had this weekend. Saturday night, Brian and I were getting into bed around 10 P.M. And I thought to myself, "I haven't felt the baby move today." So then we tried to get the baby to move--we jiggled my stomach, poked my stomach, and I drank juice and laid on my side. Well, after an hour, he still wasn't moving. So Brian called Labor and Delivery at the hospital and they said you need to come in. So we called Tina to babysit and to the hospital we went. When we got there they hooked us up to the monitors. The baby looked fine and he eventually started moving, but then they saw another problem. . . . I was contracting every few minutes. I told her I always do that and that they were just Braxton-Hicks contractions. but being 35 weeks she was concerned. So she called the Dr. and he wanted them stopped. So they gave me a Tributalene shot to stop the contractions. They didn't stop but got less intense so after a little while of monitoring me, they let us go home. We were there until 2:30 A.M. Sunday morning. What a crazy and scary night. The next time I go in. I will be popping this baby out. No more of that stuff!!!

The Pumpkin Patch

My friend Robyn, who came to visit, just sent me some pictures of the kids she took at the pumpkin patch. They turned out soooo cute. We had so much fun picking pumpkins. The kids got to ride on a tractor pulled train and do the T-Rex maze. Of course, Mike and Josh loved that.

Halloween Time

My computer has been acting up so I am late in posting my Halloween pictures. Josh and Mike love trick or treating (what kid wouldn't). Mom on the other hand hates having buckets of candy in her house (because I eat it!!) :) Now, if these costumes look familiar it's because the boys have worn them the last 3 years. . . .now that is getting your money's worth. I also included a picture of our niece, Alexis, who was a ballerina. . . isn't she cute.
