Taylor All-Stars

Well, maybe not all-stars yet, but they are getting there. This is the first year Josh and Mike are trying out baseball-Josh is in coach-pitch and Mike is in T-ball ( and they are both the number 9, what a kawinkiedink, huh!). They both are enjoying it so much it almost makes it worth it. And I say that with all the love I can, but, when I am running my kids to this and that, I can't help but think of my poor mother who did this for her 5 kids. Running back and forth, to this practice and that, in the cold, the wind, and sometimes even the rain. I never understood until now what a sacrifice it was for her. So thanks Mom for being the best Mom and doing that and never making me feel like it was too much of a bother!! Hopefully, I will endure it as well as she did!!

What A WICKED Weekend

It took a LONG 5 months after we bought the tickets, but finally the day arrived when we got to go. . .the countdown started about a month ago. . . every day I got to mark off one more square on the caledar; I thought it would never happen, but finally we were off. . . .off to see the Wizard (eeerch, back up, wrong play). . . off to see Wicked.

We (Tina, Angela, and I) left Saturday morning at 7 AM and got to Portland, OR at 2 PM (1 o'clock their time). And let me tell you it was well worth the 7 hour drive. We walked around Portland for a while and then went to our hotel and got ready for dinner and then we were off to the show. And can I just say, WOW! I am still just in awe at the talent of the actors. . . they were AMAZING.

It will take a while to wipe the smile off my face!!!

The Mighty Hunters

On Monday, Brian and I had the opportunity (because Brian won a half price hunting trip) to go pheasant hunting.

Ya know, I have been hunting with Brian for many years. We go elk hunting, deer hunting, moose hunting (hopefully this year), but I think that bird hunting is my favorite. It's the excitement of not knowing when you are going to have a bird fly up in front of you that makes it so fun. And it is so much fun to watch Lily work. This was the first time we have taken Lily out to hunt and she did really well. She pointed the birds and covered the area well (which was tough to do since it was over a 100 acres).

We ended up with 5 birds, 2 roosters and 3 hens. We saw 7 but missed two. The only part I hate about hunting, is the clean up. It is a mess and you all know how I feel about messes. But the fun of it all and being able to be with my hubby makes it worth it!!!
